Whilst Matt and Ali both started out as Art Directors at CumminsNitro, their creative chemistry meant they worked much better together than apart. A few years in and their work for Volvo and Drambuie was already getting recognised at both local and international award shows. Work that was also beginning to include a greater focus on digital creative, brought about by the acquisition of the agency by global digital network SapientNitro.
After a short stint apart the duo re-joined at local independent agency Workshop where Matt had been promoted to Creative Director. Freshly reunited, Matt took on the Copywriting duties in the partnership and Ali helped Matt to tackle many of the responsibilities of the Creative Director role.
The pair quickly helped to establish strong client relationships and shifted the agency from an activation offering to one that included strong brand and digital capabilities. They produced successful campaigns for big and small brands including Sprite, Goodman Fielder, Mastercard, Harris Farm Markets, Scenic World, Unilever and Nestle.
A quick look at their work and it’s obvious that there aren’t many channels or categories they haven’t worked across. And, whilst their versatility has allowed them to produce an eclectic body of work, they’re most passionate about creating big, memorable ideas that can cut-through the clutter in a busy, noisy world.
